Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026
The short version. You don't create an account. The Service asks only for a nickname to label each learner, and that stays in your browser on your device. Almost everything happens on your own device and never reaches us. The only information we receive is basic technical data that Cloudflare, our delivery and security provider, processes automatically, and — if you choose to email us (for example, using "Report a Problem") — your email address and message. We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking cookies.

CIGA MEDIA LLC ("CIGA MEDIA," "we," "us," or "our") operates an educational platform and applications for children (the "Service") at cigamedia.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

Geographic scope. CIGA MEDIA LLC is a United States company and operates and hosts the Service in the United States. The Service is intended for users in the United States. We do not target or knowingly serve users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

1. Who Uses the Service

You do not need to create an account to use the Service. It is meant to be set up and supervised by a parent or legal guardian (an "Adult"). Children do not sign up or log in. The Service does ask for a nickname to label a learner profile, so that progress can be kept separate for each child. It deliberately asks for a nickname rather than a real name, and says so on screen, to keep even on-device information non-identifying. Whatever is entered is saved only in your browser on your device and is never sent to us.

2. Information We Collect

The table below summarizes what we receive, why, and how long it is kept — and, for contrast, what stays on your device and never reaches us.

CategoryExamplesWhy we have itHow long it is kept
Technical dataIP address, browser and device type, timestampsProcessed automatically by Cloudflare to deliver and secure the ServiceWe do not keep raw request logs. Cloudflare retains aggregated traffic and security analytics for up to 30 days
Messages you send usYour email address and the contents of your message — only if you contact us, for example through "Report a Problem" or supportTo read, respond to, and keep a record of your requestAs long as needed to handle your request, then a reasonable period
On-device data (we never receive this)The nickname used to label a learner profile, plus learning progress, settings, and any writing or answers a child createsTo keep each child's progress separate and remember settings — stored only in your browser on your deviceYou control it; clear it anytime in your browser

We do not knowingly receive personal information about children. The learner-profile nickname described above is entered on the device and stays there; beyond it, we do not ask for a child's full name, email, photo, address, or similar details, and none of it is sent to us.

3. How We Use Information

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Payments. The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid subscriptions in the future, payments would be processed by PayPal, and we would update this Policy and obtain your consent before any charge.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Service is designed so that no personal information about a child reaches us in the ordinary course of using it. Children do not create accounts or sign in. The nickname used to label a learner profile — along with any writing, drawings, answers, or other content a child creates while using the Service — stays on the family's device (for example, in browser local storage) and is never transmitted to or stored by CIGA MEDIA LLC.

The one way information can reach us is if someone chooses to email us, as described below. We do not ask for or want a child's personal information through that route, and if any reaches us anyway we will delete it — see the deletion commitment at the end of this section.

The "Report a Problem" feature opens your own email app or webmail with a message addressed to us. It is designed to be sent by an Adult — the on-screen text asks a parent or guardian to send it — and no information reaches us unless that Adult chooses to send the email.

Persistent identifiers. Like any website, Cloudflare — our delivery and security provider — automatically receives certain persistent identifiers (such as IP address) when the Service is loaded. We use these solely for the internal operations of the Service — delivering it, keeping it secure, and diagnosing problems — and never to contact a child, build a profile, or serve behavioral advertising. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), collecting persistent identifiers only in support of internal operations does not require verifiable parental consent, and we rely on that basis (16 CFR § 312.5(c)(7)).

Because we do not otherwise collect personal information from children, the verifiable parental consent ("VPC") requirement under COPPA is not triggered by our current Service. If we ever add a feature that would involve collecting personal information from a child (for example, cloud-saved progress, child accounts or profiles stored on our servers, voice or photo capture, or shared content), we will update this Policy and obtain VPC before that feature is enabled, using a method permitted by the FTC's COPPA Rule (16 CFR § 312.5).

An Adult may review the information we hold that is associated with them, request its deletion, or refuse further collection at any time by contacting [email protected].

Deletion commitment. If a child sends us personal information anyway — for example, by typing their name or school into an email — we will delete it promptly once we become aware of it, and we will not use it for any purpose in the meantime. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will remove it.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

ProviderWhat it doesInformation it handles
CloudflareDelivers and secures the Service (content delivery, DDoS and bot protection), and routes email sent to our contact addressTechnical data; message contents in transit; may set strictly necessary security cookies
Google LLC (Gmail)Hosts the mailbox that receives and stores emails you send usYour email address and message

We do not currently use a payment processor. If we introduce subscriptions in the future, PayPal would process payments, and we would update this Policy. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of users.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We set no cookies of our own — no analytics, advertising, or third-party behavioral trackers. Our content-delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, may set a small number of strictly necessary security cookies if it presents a security check to a visitor; these carry only opaque security tokens. We also use your browser's local storage, which stays on your device, to keep the apps working (for example, saving progress and settings). Details are in our Cookie Notice.

7. Data Retention

Because we do not have user accounts, we hold no account records. We do not keep raw web-server request logs; Cloudflare retains aggregated traffic and security analytics for our site for up to 30 days. Emails you send us are kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward. On-device data is retained on your device until you clear it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including serving the Service over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects personal information you have provided to us, we will notify you at the email address you used to contact us, and will notify regulators where required, within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Your Choices and Rights

On-device data (progress and settings) is fully under your control — you can erase it anytime by clearing your browser's storage for cigamedia.com. For any message you have sent us, you may request access to it or ask us to delete it by emailing [email protected] from the same address you used. To protect you, we may confirm the request comes from that address before acting on it. We aim to respond within 30 days. Region-specific rights are described below.

10. Where Your Information Is Processed

CIGA MEDIA LLC is located in the United States and operates and hosts the Service in the U.S. Any information that reaches us — technical/server-log data and messages you choose to send us — is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., that means your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Users Outside the United States

The Service is not directed to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and we do not market, offer, or monitor the Service in those regions. We therefore do not process personal data under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. If you believe we hold personal information about you in error, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. CIGA MEDIA LLC does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising — so no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action is needed. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact [email protected].

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service before they take effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
